With the Genesys framework there’s no need for hefty programming to integrate your databases and application logic, with web services this can be done at administrator level to mobilise data and code onto whole new platforms and technologies without lengthy development.Genesys links any number of databases and application systems, adds any required extra functionality and publishes selected information (or application logic) through a web service to any webservice enabled client such as .Net or Java. This is all done in a managed way as if you were administering a database.
For example, functions hidden away in code classes can be exposed as a webservice without re-engineering; Database information can be retrieved from multiple sources and exposed even if it was not designed that way and, “virtual” stored procedures can be written regardless of whether the original database supports them – e.g. you could write stored procedures for Access and then expose that as a web service.
